Venice Mestre is the mainland station where most Frecciarossa, Italo and regional trains into the Veneto stop. Getting off here rather than at Venezia Santa Lucia means you never cross into the lagoon city: your driver waits at the agreed point at the station and takes you straight to Cortina d'Ampezzo, with no changes. Note: this page is about the railway station, not Marco Polo Airport (VCE), which has its own page.
For mountain-bound travellers Mestre is often more practical than Santa Lucia: the station is on the mainland, close to the ring road and the motorway towards Belluno, so the journey to the Dolomites starts straight away without crossing the Ponte della Libertà.
Give your train number and arrival time in the form: the pickup is planned around the real timetable and the exact meeting point is sent with the confirmation.
Mestre and Cortina d'Ampezzo are about 150 km apart by road, roughly 2–2.5 hours' drive. Timings vary with traffic, route, weather and season, especially on winter Saturdays when hotel stays change over.
The service runs 24 hours a day, strictly by reservation: booking ahead lets us arrange night-time journeys too. Any night surcharge, where applicable, is shown in the quote before you confirm.
For the return, swap departure and destination in the form and give your train time: we will propose a departure time from Cortina with a sensible margin.
